As you know, your personal Facebook Home page lists news posted from your friends and any pages you like.
With too many friends and liked pages, it becomes hard to keep up.
The instructions below describe how to gather similar news and posts into one place without it cluttering up your personal Facebook “Home” news page.
Here’s how to create a topic-specific page you can use for following and sharing news and information you’re interested in.
- Create a Facebook page and use the Cause or Community option.
- From your personal Facebook page, by clicking the little gear to the right of your name and Home link, you can request to use Facebook as your newly created page.
- Go to the pages you want included in the ‘topic specific’ page you created and Like those pages. News from those pages will show up on your customized Home page whenever you select to use Facebook as that page.
- Periodically go to the Home page and read the news from all those sources and then share the ones you think friends might enjoy. You can click the Share link for any posts and have them posted to your new Facebook page as a post. This is also useful when you discover random news stories because you can post them to your pages of interest similar to different Pinterest boards.
