Gateway zHotKey.exe Error

Problem. There is an error when starting a Gateway computer. The error is caused by the zHotKey.exe program. No information is provided by Windows about the cause of this error. There is no zHotKey.exe program listed in the Programs listing from the Start Menu. There is no zHotKey.exe program listed in the Add/Remove Programs listing. No information is available on the Internet to help with this issue.

Solution. The zHotKey.exe program is part of the Multimedia Keyboard Driver from Gateway. Remove the Multimedia Keyboard Driver program from the Add/Remove programs list and the error will go away.

The Gateway website provides a list of installed drivers, utilities, and other programs that come pre-installed on their computers.
