ResourcesForLife.com – News 201102 | 1 February 2011 | Tuesday

Dear Friend,

I know that time is precious for everyone these days, so I’ll try to keep this update short. The approximate reading time for this message is about 5 minutes. Feel free to reduce your reading time even more by skipping over topics that don’t interest you.

Personal Update. My Personal Update for February is now available.

Heart Songs. The Heart Songs selections for February 2011 are now available on iTunes. I’m really happy about this month’s selections. There are only five songs, but they are good ones. After reviewing over 6,500 songs over the past 10 years, I sometimes think I’ll never discover new music that I can get excited about. This past week, Makur and I were at R.S.V.P. in Iowa City, and heard some music by Iron & Wine from their album The Shepherd’s Dog. There are two songs I really like from this album, Boy With a Coin and Resurrection Fern. The song Resurrection Fern reminds me of Ain’t No Reason by Brett Dennen and Everything is Free by Gillian Welch. A song I heard this past week while surfing the FM stations was Higher by Taio Cruz from his album Rokstarr. Another song I heard for the first time on the radio this past week was If Everyone Cared by Nickelback from their album All the Right Reasons. This past year’s Heart Songs selections have been chosen for the Heart Songs 2010 collection. As of December 2010, I started using Ping to publish the Heart Songs collections. Ping is Apple’s social network for music.

New Logo. In case you missed the announcement in December, we have a new logo for ResourcesForLife.com (pictured above). It was designed by my wife, Makur Jain. She has also designed some other logos recently, including the logo for the Environmental Resource Group.

Free Calendars Available. This coming year we have two calendars to choose from. Our standard ResourcesForLife.com calendar for 2011 features motivational photos and quotes. We also have Jewish Art Calendars for the year 5771 (September 2010-September 2011). Just let me know if you’d like either of these free calendars. Donations toward shipping are appreciated, but not required.

What’s New. This past month a variety of articles and content were added. Remember you can always find out the latest news by visiting the What’s New Page and the Documents Page. Here are a few highlights of recent documents (most recent at top):

Thanks. I want to thank the global team of volunteers, contributors, and workers “behind the scenes” who help make all this possible. I’m very grateful to the many people who continue to uphold and advance the mission of Resources for Life. Thanks again for your support.
