Beware of fake QuickBooks email from Intuit – “Account Suspension Notice!”

I’m alerting everyone I know who uses QuickBooks about the email shown below. It is circulating as of 2 Mar 2021 going to current or former Intuit customers. If you receive the email, know that it is fake and don’t click on anything. You can delete it. I’ve used an image of the email below rather than the actual text. This avoids any accidental clicking.

For most people, most of the time, we’re cautious with possibly fraudulent emails. However, in a busy office with distractions, or if you’re having a bad day, are tired, or otherwise not focused, you might click on a seemingly legitimate email link. What makes the email below particularly deceptive is that they use the color scheme, fonts, and logo for Intuit and QuickBooks.

As always, whenever you have a question or concern about an email message, you can go to the official website and login to see if there are any notifications there.

For the people I regularly provide tech support to, I suggest they forward suspicious emails for me to evaluate.

If you received an email similar to the one below, and you clicked on the link then provided your login credentials, you will want to immediately change your Intuit account password.
