1.5 Million Syrian Refugees in Jordan Represent 25% of Population #Jordan @RHCJO

About

Jordan, with a population of 6.5 million, is smaller than New York City (with 8.4 million people). Yet, Jordan now has over 1.5 million Syrian refugees as well as refugees from other countries who are fleeing violence and war. These refugees represent about 25% of Jordan’s population, and the country is now struggling with providing the needed food, shelter, education, employment, and other necessary resources. In the video above, King Abdullah II of Jordan discusses this and other challenges in the region.
