Widows Vista Help Error

Problem. When attempting to use the help feature of Windows Vista, an error message states: “Internet Explorer cannot download / from windows. Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.”

Solution. The problem is caused by the installation of Adobe Macromedia Dreamweaver. The installation of this so-called “compatible” program crashes the entire Windows Vista help system. Follow the instructions found on the Adobe website to resolve the issue. You’ll basically need to download the Adobe Registry Fix to solve this problem.
