ResourcesForLife.com – News 201810 | 2 Oct 2018 | Tuesday

Dear Friend,

I hope you’re doing well. Thanks for taking time to read the Resources for Life monthly newsletter. Starting this month, I plan to get the newsletter out at the beginning of the month rather than the end of the month. So, that’s why you’re getting this just two days after last month’s message.

Personal Update

My Personal Update for October is now available. If we’re not already connected on Facebook, I invite you to Like my page and also visit my AboutGregJohnson.com website. I’m slowly shifting from Facebook and other social media to putting content on my personal website where people can signup for updates.

Topics and Writings

Last month I shared and wrote about a several topics of interest including: energy readiness, health, democracy, leadership, governance, diversity, technology, and more. A few are mentioned above, here’s a more complete list.

As you’ll notice in the list above, I’m starting to use all caps for an initial topic descriptive word to make the titles easier for people to skim through and identify on social media.

Note: If I’m writing a commentary about some past event or video, I’ll assign the current date to my post. If I’m simply posting a video without substantive commentary, the original release date of the video is assigned to that post. For example, I recently posted over a dozen videos about education that date back to 2015. These are mostly of the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Heart Songs

This month’s Heart Songs selection is “Olalla” by Blanco White. Lyrics for the song are below.

“Olalla” Lyrics

Oh Olalla more than a name
Rest your eyes and stay in the shade
You were hiding over the hill
In a quiet never so still

From Olalla to the city lights
Somebody told me to believe in better times
From Olalla to the city lights
Somebody told me to believe
To Believe

Oh Olalla where will you go
If the line ends out on the road
There’s a story meant to be told
But the door has shut in the cold

From Olalla to the city lights
Somebody told me to believe in better times
From Olalla to the city lights
Somebody told me to believe
To believe

Oh Olalla on the borderline
There is a world down on it’s knees for better times
Oh Olalla don’t you fear the night
There’s only time left to believe
To Believe

Thanks

I want to thank the global team of volunteers, contributors, and workers “behind the scenes” who help make all this possible. I’m very grateful to the many people who continue to uphold and advance the mission of Resources for Life. Thanks again for your support. Please let me know if there is any way that Resources for Life can serve you better.

Regards,
Greg
