Problem Summary. Many small electronic devices, such as the Apple iPhone, are usually operated at a distance of 6 to 12 inches from the face. Previously, smaller devices were not used for long durations of time or with the frequency of an iPhone. Today, these devices are replacing notebooks, day planners, and desktop computers.
Problem Solution. Various reading glasses are available at low prescription levels that can ease the strain on eyes when trying to focus on small fonts at a close distance. These can be worn in addition to contact lenses. Magnivision offers a Titanium Series of glasses that are available at drug stores such as CVS at a cost of about $25 for the glasses (M092A1-100) and $8 for a nice case (MA023 / #205). Other stores such as Wal-Mart and Target offer other brands. Reading glasses can typically cost $10 to $20 for the low-end. Glasses can be ordered from Zenni Optical for about $20, such as the stainless steel rimless glasses pictured above, or about $30 for the memory titanium rimless glasses pictured below.
