Colorfest takes place in over 40 countries and more than 200 cities. According to a story in the Frederick News Post, “Colorfest expected to attract tens of thousands to Thurmont.” Here is an excerpt from the story:
Catoctin Colorfest is free and open to the public, running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The event’s website incorrectly lists the official start time as 9 a.m., said James Humerick, the town’s chief administrative assistant. The town expects to draw about 100,000 people for Colorfest weekend, Humerick said. If the weather is good, however, Catoctin Colorfest President Carol Robertson hopes to draw record crowds of 125,000 to 150,000 people. (source)
